Current projects include:

  • Facilitation of Indigenous and People of Color led midwifery organizations

  • Learning and teaching Indigenous Data Mapping with Arizona and Mexican midwives for future projects

  • Offering access to trainings for indigenous midwives in mental health modalities such as Somatic practices as a way to revive traditional memory and reclamation in trauma healing

  • Coalition work in reproductive justice work, economic justice work, immigration focused initiatives, and love and care for our transgender and queer relatives through education and workshop facilitation

  • The Indigenous Birth Conference, which in its first year, brought together multiple stakeholders in education, policy, gender focused health equity work, data collection, elder wisdom, and more. We are currently planning for May, 2025.

  • Care and love of our elders, including community gathering opportunities, and workforce development for elders wishing to share their knowledge, and support groups.

  • midwifery care and support to those who cannot access care in a safe or economically feasible way

  • Facilitation of the Arizona Midwifery Learning Collaborative, an all Black, Indigenous and people of color group focused on Medicaid access to and for midwives in Arizona.

  • Assisting in the accreditation of an indigenous midwifery school

  • Expansion of the Phoenix Midwife/Indigenous Birth office to be able to offer a meeting space for community groups, as well as a ceremonial space to community members
